During Friday's English lesson, Miss Carter projects exciting images of famous cartoon superheroes on the interactive board. Superman can fly, Spiderman can climb vertical brick walls, and the Hulk can lift giant boulders. Miss Carter smiles warmly and asks: 'Who is the real superhero in our school?'
Kevin points enthusiastically to his classmate Mike: 'Mike is our real classroom superhero!' Earlier that morning, when Miss Carter had to carry four heavy boxes of dictionaries from the library, Mike rushed over politely: 'Let me carry two boxes, teacher!' Mike carried them upstairs without complaining.
During lunch break, Mike also helped little second-graders tie their sneaker laces and shared his spare apple with a sad friend. Miss Carter awards Mike a shiny superhero emblem: 'Real superpowers aren't about flying or lasers; true superheroes have kind hearts and helpful hands!' All pupils cheer Mike joyfully!
